Alanis Morissette

Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie doesn't have the immediate, in-your-face quality with hooks or lyrics that made Jagged Little Pill a cultural phenomenon. Stylistically, though, it's a better album. Morissette adds eastern flavor to her already spicy music as well as some oscillating grooves, but nothing overpowers here -- even her vocals are more subdued.
