Beaver Nelson

Beaver Nelson's warm but thin-toned voice sets the stage for his songs. They're not streamlined studio perfect, and that's why his music works so well. It's organic and sometimes endearingly flawed. His version of Roots rock has a definite Midwestern feel in its heartfelt rawness and honesty. He also doesn't necessarily need a pedal steel to warm up his songs, even though they're equal parts country and rock 'n' roll -- traditional back-line and the occasional mandolin do just fine.
