Dumpstaphunk

Spawned out of a post-Katrina New Orleans searching for a rebirth of its rich musical identity, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk shows that funk is alive by soaking their socially conscious message with funk-nasty soul and Crescent City pride. Dumpstaphunk draws heavily from the rich Neville Brothers musical family, featuring a blazing guitar from a young Ian Neville, as well as Nick Daniels on bass, Raymond Weber (Trey Anastasio Band) on drums and the bottom-end bass grooves of Tony Hall (Dave Matthews and Friends). They've come together to lead not only the resurgence of funk, but also the continued musical tradition of a broken city. You'll find them in the loudest, sweat-drenched late-night tents and clubs across America.
