Fernando Ortega

Talented pianist Fernando Ortega began to play at the tender age of eight, developing a sound that was deeply influenced by his native New Mexico, where he grew up near the banks of the Rio Grande. His classical training at The University of New Mexico added touches of world, modern folk, Celtic, Latin American, country and rustic hymnody to his already unique sound. His smart brand of piano-driven worship first caught on when he began playing around Southern California's Orange County. Albums like Hymns and Meditations, This Bright Hour and Home firmly established him as one of the brightest of his generation.
