Biography
Having convinced her parents at an early age that country music was her calling, Northern California native Heidi Newfield went to Nashville to cut a demo when she was 13. In 1996, a grown-up Newfield hooked up with Keith Burns and Ira Dean to form the highly acclaimed trio Trick Pony. After 10 successful years with the group, Heidi decided to strike out on her own. In 2008, Newfield released her solo debut album, What Am I Waiting For, which spawned the hit single "Johnny and June."
