Biography

One-time girlfriend of Cornelius and protégé of Scotland provocateur Momus, Kahimi Karie gives us another variation on global pop. Cutesy, breathy vocals are in Japanese, French and English over a mishmash of samples and fuzz guitar. Bossa Nova, neo-Lounge, and Garage are all given her energetic treatment.
