Biography

Austin-based singer-songwriter Kathy McCarty is a close personal friend of freak-genius Daniel Johnston. And while her music is not quite as extreme as the psychotropic poet's, she does exhibit considerable talent within the genre. Expect slightly left-of-center songs and an indie attitude. As with most everything that comes out of Austin, McCarty is cooler than the rest of us.
