This singer-songwriter essentially named the Outlaw Country movement of the 1970s when Waylon Jennings had a monster hit with his song "Ladies Love Outlaws." As a performing artist, his reedy voice has not won him a huge fan base, but his songs have been covered by other notable artists such as Hoyt Axton and Jerry Jeff Walker.
