Tackhead
Biography
This collective of musicians have been around since the early '80s, releasing hip-hop records on the Sugar Hill label. Tackhead released records under the names of various group members until 1989, when they put out Friendly As a Hand Grenade. Their sound has evolved from their own twist on lively Old School Hip-Hop to heavy Post-Rock infused with meaty beats. Today, the Tackhead collective remains active behind the scenes of rock and hip-hop.
