The SoftLightes

The SoftLightes combine dreamy indie-pop with glitchy beats. The LA-based band -- singer Ron Fountainberry, bassist Kristian Dunn, pianist Andrew Van Baal and drummer Tim Fogarty -- formed in 2004 out the ashes of Incredible Moses Leroy. In 2007, Say No! To Being Cool. Say Yes to Being Happy was released on hot Australian label Modular Records. Fountainberry's earnest lyrics and wispy melodies are given an ample amount of electronic grizzle to keep the songs from being overly sweet. Album highlights like "Heart Made of Sound," "GirlKillsBear" and "Leanor and I" are literate yet warm tunes for cold, rainy Sunday afternoons.
