Venus Hum

Grounded in the traditions of 1980s New Wave, the dreamy, electronic-influenced sounds of Venus Hum combine the intensity of Garbage with the smooth moves of Hooverphonic. Hailing from the unlikely locale of Nashville, Tennessee, this trio aims straight for mass audiences with its electro-affected pop appeal. The Cure and Depeche Mode clearly steer Venus Hum's sound, while vocals from Annette Stream reveal an affinity for Kate Bush. In early 2003, the band released its debut full-length, Big Beautiful Sky.
