A former guitarist for Joe Tex's band, Wesley Curley Clark has established himself as the seasoned veteran of Austin, Tex.'s constantly flourishing blues community. His extraordinary style of Texas Blues boasts fretboard chops and licks that go down with the same deliciously greasy gusto of the city's many fine BBQ dining establishments. Fans of Clark usually tend to go for his more organic mix of Texas Blues, in which he adds multicultural elements to his proven formula of Tex Mex instrumentation, grinding organs, and even a sublime pinch of that Cajun flavor. His acclaimed 1994 album Heart of Gold is an unblemished example of his unique style.
