Biography

Nautical themes, cool album art and a sincere love for the rock theatrics of David Bowie all come together in the music of Lawrence, Kans., quintet White Whale. The band emerged out of the ashses of the Get Up Kids, Butterglory and Thee Higher Burning Fire, debuting WWI in 2006 on Merge Records, home to bands like Spoon and Arcade Fire, which White Whale fit nicely next to.
