Breaking Benjamin

Breaking Benjamin's second record manages to amplify what has become the band's two biggest strengths: melodicism and heaviness. Anyone who came on board with 2002's Saturate will not be disappointed as the Tool feel is more pronounced than ever, and newcomers are in for a treat as this radio-friendly metal goes way beyond the usual 3 Doors Down moves.

Breaking Benjamin's second album draws on the usual post-grunge touchstones:
overdriven guitars and tortured singing. There's a cameo from Billy Corgan, but Breaking
Benjamin distinguish themselves from their peers only because their Nickelback-ish
choruses are full of hopeful platitudes rather than heroic melancholia.
