Does It Offend You, Yeah? are an English quartet from Reading who fall somewhere between vocoder-happy electro house and danceable post-punk. Despite their rather questionable band- and album-naming skills, their debut demands more than the occasional robotic hand clap or air cow bell. Where songs like "Battle Royale" and "Let's Make Out" may tide you over until the next Soulwax set, "With a Heavy Heart (I Regret To Inform You)" and "Being Bad Feels Pretty Good" tear a page out of the Bloc Party song book -- as interpreted by Peter Frampton.
