As on their debut, Emery's rich, stargazing emo and shrieking intensity feel like a dichotomy. The abrupt disparity between the two sounds might cause some listeners to reach for the Ritalin, but the band does master both styles, to the delight of fans of those kinds of music -- or just those with short attention spans.
