The homeless, probably drug-addicted and perceived-as-insane-by-"pigs" NOLA sludge-metal bluesmen recorded their second album in a room above an abandoned department store in 1993. The hardcore trappings that identified but obscured the issue on their first album are gone as guitarists Jimmy Bower and Brian Patton take Southern rock to unheard-of depths, with churning boogie riffs magnified to such a degree it's unclear whether EHG love Skynyrd or want to see them, along with every other human not named Tony Iommi, facedown in a shallow grave. "Blank" and "Shoplift" are the hits.
