Francoise Hardy

A career highlight, the LP shows how Hardy's songwriting is the equal of her interpretative skills, on a seamless mix of string-laden ballads and gently upbeat folk-rock. The eccentric title track is a French classic and the opening track, "Premier Rencontre," is probably the most mournfully beautiful torch song Francoise ever murmured (and she's murmured thousands).
