Frijoles Romanticos

This is the sound of 21st century Mexican rock: shot through with cumbia and norteno influences, multi-lingual, political, and seriously intelligent. At their best, Frijoles try it all (even bossa nova), but sometimes their songwriting seems to be on autopilot. Tex-Mex star Bobby Pulido guests on the devastating opening tune, while "Tu" lives up to the "romantico" label.
