Leaving a lot of her twang behind for a more commercial-sounding singer-songwriter approach, Garrison Starr's fifth album exudes taste in production. Her guitars sound digitally affected, but with cool vintage tones that bring Travis or Coldplay to mind. The title track blends romantic sounds with gritty Americana imagery.
