The success of "Name" (1995) proved to be a landmark point in the career of this trio. Their '98 follow up contained "Iris," a massive radio success similar to "Name." More of a Roots-based rock act in the vein of Bryan Adams or John Mellencamp, this album contains a competent selection of radio-ready rock songs.

The Goo Goo Dolls' hit, "Iris," on the City of Angels soundtrack, was one big hunk of
summertime cheddar, a song about doomed love swathed in violins. On Dizzy Up the Girl,
