Rhapsody

Giraldo's jokes come fast and furious. Most easily described as a cross between Richard Lewis and Denis Leary, he leavens his vitriolic rants with healthy doses of semi-neurotic self-deprecation. As hordes of comedians run over each other to make the same jokes, Giraldo's highly original and direct observations are refreshing as hell. Plus, he has actual jokes with effective punchlines, which is not always the case in today's gimmick-clogged atmosphere. Giraldo first appeared as the voice-over in Lazyboy's 2004 left-field hit "Underwear Goes Inside the Pants."
