When Ian Brown hits his stride, as in "F.E.A.R." and "The Gravy Train," elation isn't far behind. That he can then stroll through sonic and conceptual collapse on the scale of "Bubbles" or "Hear No See No" is staggering, but unless stark honesty, humility and a hunger to share don't appeal, the highs merit any and all lows.
