Idlewild

The sixth CD from Idlewild is a reinvigorating effort for this band of veterans. The thumping pulse of songs like "Everything (As It Moves)" and "If It Takes You Home" gives these Scottish rockers a big kick in the pants forward, even though it takes the group back to its grungier 1995 beginnings. After departing from their major label (after eight years and four albums) and landing on their feet with Sanctuary and its influential '60s imprint Sequel, these Scottish rockers sound appropriately released and ready to make some independent racket.
