One of the most successful producers in the music business today, Irv Gotti's proteges read like a who's who of Billboard's top artists. He is credited with discovering DMX, who sold millions of records thanks to Gotti's (as well as Swizz Beatz' and others') catchy, synthesized beats. More recently he masterminded Ja Rule's crossover to the masses, working behind the boards on all of Ja's albums. He also revisited Biggie's "One More Chance" remix for Ashanti's smash hit "Foolish," making the young singer one of today's most popular stars. In 2002 Irv released Irv Gotti Presents The Inc., flaunting his Murder Inc crew, which includes Ja, Ashanti, Cadillac Tah, Black Child, and Charlie Baltimore. He has also announced his intentions to get behind the mic, and plans to establish himself as an emcee in the near future.
