On their sophomore release, Jet exude more '60s mop top sweet boys-with-an-edge charm, while sprinkling on the modern commercial appeal that landed them success with their debut, Get Born. The Aussie dudes are still battling with an identity crisis as they attempt to balance the influence of Brit rock nobles like the Beatles and Oasis with traces of the Vines' garage rock. Still, Shine On offers some of the slickest in dirty rocker chic, with boisterous melodies, sweet harmonies and punchy beats that leave you feeling greasy, yet satisfied.
