If anyone can pull off a line like "Because of you/I never stray too far from the sidewalk," it's Kelly Clarkson. This woman could sell you snake oil if she sang it right. As it is, she delivers heartfelt (kind of) slices of wrenching balladry on this EP. The two up-tempo rockers could headline an empowerment seminar.
