My Morning Jacket

The companion album to a DVD of the band's appearance at the Fillmore in San Francisco in 2005, Okonokos is a spaced-out journey to alternative country's weirder borders. At times echoing the Dead, Neil Young and the Flaming Lips, My Morning Jacket expands the vocabularies of each, with music that is fragile on the surface but capable of real power. As the band was touring in support of 2005's Z, that album is well-represented, but there are some crowds faves also thrown in.
