New Found Glory

On 2004's Catalyst, New Found Glory scream a statement: "You keep trying to market this feeling...Don't believe a word they say." Ah, the plight of the modern punk band: legitimacy. Estranged from principled forebears like Minor Threat and Black Flag, the Class of 1997 had to reconcile mass consumption with basement show roots. Nigh on 10 years later, NFG have thrown in the towel. Single "It's Not Your Fault" features regal pianos, and "Connected" promises, "I'll make love to you." These are sensitive, saccharine songs. NFG see no reason to apologize for doing what they're good at.
