The Skygreen Leopards

The Skygreen Leopards have never been about radical change. Each and every album is a fragile fusion of vintage West Coast folk-rock and New Zealand-inspired indie pop. That said, the addition of multi-instrumentalist Jason Quever, aka baroque pop tunesmith Papercuts, gives the Leopards' latest, Gorgeous Johnny, a newfound love for ornamentation. Listen closely to tracks like "Dixie Cups in the Dead Grass" and "Goodnight Anna," and you'll hear organ, bells and intricately layered harmonies.
