The debut of this English-singing French pop group channeled the sappy sentiment of early Beatles and Kinks through the dazzling lens of pitch-perfect contemporary pop for cheeky, often delightful results. As the band floats along with digitally scrubbed perfection, the breathy (often vocoded) vocals of Xavier Boyer and Mederic Gontier earned just comparisons to the Cardigans. Charming songs like "Heartbeat," "Mr. Davies" and "Swimming Suit" are about as delicately sissified as a plate of petit fores, but, when the mood is right, they're just as pleasant.
