There's a troublesome equation with zany rock: the more hill-arious the attempt, the shorter the life span. The fancy dandies in Tally Hall might face trouble when the "potato monkeys," fruit-based phallic innuendo and funky Nintendo samples cease to get hoots, though their beguiling blend of nerdly prog, Ben Folds brand power pop and cheeky humor is somehow charming. But please, guys, no more rapping.
