These Chicago soul heroes first came together as the Roosters in 1957. Introducing the world to both Curtis Mayfield and Jerry Butler, their impeccably smooth harmonies and ear-tickling instrumentation would be the basis for a long run of much-loved singles. This compilation features the best of their mid-'60s work and still sounds great 40 years later.
