The Working Title

The South Carolina indie rock band's second album is an engaging cross between Blonde Redhead and Counting Crows. With lots of echoes, despondent lyrics and guitars that sound like ripples on an otherwise utterly still pond, About Face is sure to appeal to fans of the heydays of indie rock. Tracks like "Nothing Less Radiant" and "P.S." find the previously unexplored common ground shared by Radiohead and U2. They could have worked a little harder on coming up with a good band name, though.
