Velvet Revolver

Those holding their breath for that elusive Guns N' Roses Chinese Democracy record can get in some headbanging with this single off of Velvet Revolver's upcoming album, Libertad. While there's no Axl here, former GnR members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum are back to do some hair-metal damage on the young modern rock world. Scott Weiland's shrillness slyly pushes the song along as he sings "I'll smash right through your spotlight." Ironically, though, his vocals get semi-buried, as it's Slash's mean six-string chops that really do the spotlight-smashing.
